OBJECTIVE:
The purpose of this assignment is to evaluate students’ understanding of selected branches of law and their application of legal and ethical principles in business contexts.
REQUIREMENT:
Due to the expansion of online sales practices, there are some issues or challenges that raise the question of whether the implied terms outlined in the Sale of Goods Act 1957 are compatible with online sales transactions. Learners are required to look into the issues, evaluate them and offer possible solutions to the contractual parties, specifically:
- Learners have to identify the list of terms that are implied in the contract of sale of goods by the Sale of Goods Act 1957 and examine the key features of each implied term by reference to the relevant cases.
- Learners have to evaluate the issues related to the application of the implied terms to online sale transactions.
- Learners are expected to provide their recommendations to resolve the issues and draw conclusions based on the discussion.
