Form a group of 6 members at maximum and each group must be multiracial. Choose 2 Malaysian listed companies per group member from same industry or Top 100 firm. All groups will need to prepare a well-researched essay and appropriate analysis related to the following:
1. Background of the companies and their businesses.
2. Industry outlook and information.
3. SWOT Analysis.
4. Financial statement analysis
5. Trend Analysis (5 years)
6. Cross- Sectional Analysis (2 Companies and then all)
7. Corporate issues and recent news.
8. Corporate scandals or controversial news
9. Companies’ stock performance (5-year analysis)
10. Index comparisons
11. Stock cycle (cause/ effect/ reason)
12. Conclusion and suggestion
13. Long term
14. Short term
15. Add as many info-graphics as possible
Criteria for selecting companies:
Each student need to analyze 2 companies’ performance for previous 5 years. If working in a group, then the total companies with in a group are double of the group members, (Number of group members * 2 = Total companies for each group). All companies must be listed as public (Berhad) companies and also working in SAME INDUSTRY TYPE.
