ASSIGNMENT QUESTION

The objectives of this assignment are to evaluate learners’ understanding of thinking skills and the elements involved in the thinking process. It also aims to assess their ability to demonstrate critical thinking in problem-solving using diverse approaches. Furthermore, the assignment measures learners’ capacity to evaluate the credibility of information and make well-informed decisions. It emphasizes the application of higher-order thinking skills to analyse relevant information for effective decision-making and problem-solving.

PART 1: ESSAY (30%)

As the head of a multinational organisation, you have noticed that your team members face challenges in communicating effectively, especially when working with colleagues from culturally diverse backgrounds. In light of this issue, identify the main obstacles to effective interpersonal communication and propose a well-rounded strategy to improve communication skills among employees. Your response should include practical steps to support personal growth and contribute to the overall success of the organization. Your essay should address the following elements:

1. Introduction
2. Identify the issue(s)/problem(s) of the case
3. Analyse and evaluate the issue.
4. Propose a practical solution
5. Conclusion
6. References

PART  2: REPORT WRITING (30%)

As an expert in time management appointed by a distinguished international university, you are tasked with formulating a comprehensive framework to enhance students’ academic achievement. Prepare an in-depth report that critically examines the key time management challenges experienced by students and proposes a rigorous, evidence-informed strategy to effectively address these issues. The report should articulate a structured implementation plan detailing how the university can successfully operationalise this initiative, with particular emphasis on its potential to foster student success, optimise productivity, and promote overall well-being. Conclude with a scholarly analysis of the broader implications and the projected long-term impact of the proposed intervention. Your report should be based on the following components:

1. Introduction
2. Content:
   i. Detailed description of the issue/problem;
   ii. Application of a specific problem-solving tool or decision-making strategy to address the problem;
   iii. Detailed elaboration on the solution or decision of the issue/problem.

3. Conclusion – Summarise the report and conclude your report .

PART 3: ONLINE CLASS PARTICIPATION (10%)

This part requires students to participate actively in the MyINSPIRE eforum. Discuss the following topics in the forum and submit proof of your participation with your tutor and peers in the forum online discussions:

1. What systematic approach would you adopt to assess the credibility of an information source when faced with contradictory perspectives?
2. Which specific criteria would you employ to critically evaluate the reliability of assertions made by experts within your area of specialisation?
3. Describe an instance in which you were required to make a decision under conditions of incomplete or uncertain information. What evaluative steps did you undertake to analyse the available data and arrive at a well-founded conclusion?

Instruction on how to submit proof of online class participation:

1. Select the best FIVE (5) own postings from your forum discussion set in the assignment.
2. Do screenshots of the postings and include them as images in your Part 1 and Part 2 assignment files.
3. The screenshots should be in an image file (either in JPG or PNG format). Refer to the sample of Screen Grab below

TUJUAN:

Objektif tugasan ini adalah untuk menilai keupayaan pelajar dalam menerangkan maksud kemahiran berfikir dan komponen dalam proses berfikir, serta menilai bagaimana pelajar menunjukkan pemikiran kritikal dalam menyelesaikan masalah melalui pelbagai pendekatan. Selain itu, tugasan ini bertujuan untuk mengukur keupayaan pelajar untuk menilai kredibiliti kenyataan atau maklumat dan membuat keputusan yang berinformasi. Ia juga memberi tumpuan kepada penilaian keupayaan pelajar untuk menerapkan kemahiran berfikir peringkat tinggi dalam menganalisis maklumat yang relevan untuk membuat keputusan yang berkesan dan menyelesaikan masalah.

BAHAGIAN 1: KARANGAN (30%)
