Working adults are strongly encouraged to draw the problem from a real workplace situation, as this is normally the strongest source of material for this report. The report should include:

Executive summary.
Background: the organisation, industry context, and a precise statement of the business problem.
Current-state analysis: how the problem currently affects operations, customers, or performance, and what (if any) systems are currently in place.
Evaluation of at least two possible IS/IT solution options (e.g. an enterprise system module, a CRM/SCM capability, an analytics/decision-support tool, an e-commerce or knowledge-management solution), including a comparison of costs, benefits, risks, and implementation considerations.
A justified recommendation of the preferred solution.
An implementation and change-management plan, including a realistic timeline and how the organisation would manage adoption.
Conclusion and limitations of the proposed solution.
