a) Figure 1 show a right triangle ABC and a minor arc ST of a circle center at C with diameter 14cm. If AB = 8cm and ∠SCT=40° . Find
i. length of major arc ST (3 marks)
ii. the area of the shaded region (4 marks)
b) Given that tan〖A= -3/4〗and sin〖B= 5/13〗where A is obtuse and B is acute angle. Find
i. cos(A+B) ( 4 marks)
ii. cot B cosec 2A ( 4 marks)

a) Sketch the graph of for for y=2 sin〖(4x+π)〗 for -π/4≤x≤(π.)/4 Hence, state the amplitude and period. (5 marks)
b) Determine the amplitude and phase shift of f(x)=-4 cos〖(x-π/2)〗 Hence, sketch the graph of f(x) for f(x) for -2π≤x≤2π . (5 marks)
c) Given cosec x= 13/5 where x is an obtuse angle. Find the value of sin 2x and tan 2x+ sec x (5 marks)

c) Solve the following trigonometric equation 4〖cos〗^2 θ=6(sinθ+1) on the interval 0°≤θ≤360° (5 marks)
