  • Draw a bar chart to represent the frequency distribution of “Device Used “. You may use MS Excel to generate the chart.
  • Draw a pie chart to represent the frequency distribution of “Virtual Platform”. You may use MS Excel to generate the chart
  • Based on the tables and charts, write a brief summary (100–120 words) of the key findings from the student survey regarding preferences for device used and virtual platform in online learning.

The Faculty of Technology and Applied Sciences (FTAS) is monitoring student engagement with generative AI tools used for writing assistance, coding support, and research exploration. Over a 30-day period, the number of students using these tools each day was recorded which are shown in Table 2. The faculty aims to analyze this data to understand typical usage patterns, variability in daily engagement, and the likelihood of meeting certain usage benchmarks. This analysis will support future planning for digital literacy workshops, ethical AI integration, and resource allocation.

  • Calculate the range of the daily usage.
  • Calculate the standard deviation of the daily usage.
  • Interpret the standard deviation in the context of usage forecasting. How can this value inform the faculty’s predictions of future student engagement?
  • Calculate the coefficient of variation (CV) for the 30 days of usage. Interpret the value.
