Objective

This assignment is designed to develop students’ critical thinking, analytical skills, and understanding of product strategies used by real companies in the market.

Task Requirements

Students are required to choose ONE real product or brand that they personally use regularly.

Examples:

  • Uniqlo
  • Watsons

Students must answer ALL questions based on:

  • Personal opinions
  • Real user experience
  • Product observation and analysis

Product Discussion Questions

Based on the case study above, answer ALL questions below:

  1. What product or brand did you choose? Why do you like it?
  2. What makes this product different from its competitors?
  3. Do you think the product quality is worth its price? Explain your opinion.
  4. Do you think branding and packaging are important for this product? Why?
  5. Compare your chosen product with ONE competitor. Which one is better and why?

Part B: Real-Life Consumer Scenario

Scenario: “Student Life in Kuala Lumpur”

A diploma student named Amir lives in Kuala Lumpur. He has limited budget but needs to manage his daily life, transportation, and studies. Amir experiences the following situations:

  • He needs a laptop to complete assignments and online classes.
  • He wants a high-performance gaming laptop with advanced graphics.
  • He demands a specific brand (e.g., Apple MacBook or ASUS ROG) because he believes it offers better quality and status.
  • For transportation, he needs affordable travel to campus.
  • He wants a comfortable and fast ride (Grab Premium).
  • He demands services that are safe, reliable, and affordable based on his budget.

Task instructions
