This assignment requires students to design a simple prototype of a business information system for an organization. Students will demonstrate their understanding of information systems by creating basic system screens and explaining how the system works.

Print the hardcopy report and upload the softcopy in Google Classroom and exam slip in E-KLAS.

Part 1 (100 Marks – 20%) Task:

Create a basic System Prototype to show example of Transaction Processing System use in the organization.

You can choose ONE (1) from the following:

1. Point of Sale (POS) System: Used in retail stores and restaurants for processing customer orders and payment.
2. Online Ordering System: Allows customers to place orders online, commonly used in e-commerce and food delivery businesses.
3. Reservation and Booking System: Used by hotels, airlines, and other service providers to manage reservations and bookings.
4. Banking Transaction System: Facilitates banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and fund transfers.
5. Healthcare Information System: Manages patient records, appointments, and billing in healthcare facilities.
6. E-commerce Shopping Cart: Enables customers to add products to their carts, proceed to checkout, and complete online purchases.
7. Ticketing System: Used by entertainment venues, airlines, and transportation companies for selling and managing tickets.
8. Customer Support and Helpdesk System: Tracks customer issues, provides support, and manages service requests.
9. Parking Management System: Controls access to parking facilities and processes payments.
10. Student Information System (SIS): Manages student records, course enrolment, and academic progress in educational institutions.
11. Utility Billing System: Calculates and bills for utility services like water, electricity, and gas.
